Very sad to hear about Zak's death....during the Crossland days and several years later, Zak was like a brother to me...always looking out for me.  Though we lost touch over time, I've never forgotten his kindness.  And I too remember that little smirk he always had on his face.  May you rest in peace in God's loving care, Zak.

I am heartbroken to learn of Zak's passing. We shared a special friendship that lasted well into our thirties---and, then, we drifted away from one another (don't know why).  Zak had this tremendous OFF-THE-WALL sense of humor----he was REALLY FUNNY!  He was, also, quite, KIND, and VERY LOYAL.  We had great fun together.  I have wonderful memories of the times we shared together such as: skipping school, driving around Maryland and D.C., fixing my car, bar hopping, taking the train to NYC to go to a concert in Central Park, and visiting his mother.  Zak, my DEAR FRIEND, I will miss you.  And, I too, will miss that mischievous, endearing smile.  Thank you for being my friend.  Rest In Peace my dear, dear friend.  Love ya, Debbie

I was very saddened to hear of Zak's sudden and untimely passing.  He had reached out to me via this site last fall and we had a nice long phone conversation after many years of no contact.  It was good to reminisce and catch up.  As others have said, he was a kind soul with a sharp wit who wore his long hair proudly in the 1970s.  I clipped a photo from someone else's Facebook page showing a very young Zak sipping on a Schlitz.

RIP Zak and keep on rocking!!!
